{"id":1413,"date":"2011-08-22T13:28:40","date_gmt":"2011-08-22T17:28:40","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/demonstro.us\/blog\/?p=1303"},"modified":"2011-08-22T13:28:40","modified_gmt":"2011-08-22T17:28:40","slug":"the-lifecycle-project","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/demonstro.us\/productions\/2011\/08\/the-lifecycle-project\/","title":{"rendered":"The Life(cycle) Project"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.lifecycle.holstee.com\/\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/static.tumblr.com\/487jccm\/re7lq8yt0\/the-lifecycle-movie-tumblr-banner.jpg?resize=660%2C123\" alt=\"\" width=\"660\" height=\"123\" \/><\/a><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0031\/5352\/files\/The-Holstee-Manifesto.jpg?resize=205%2C274\" alt=\"\" width=\"205\" height=\"274\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Over the past few weeks we have developed a video project with <a href=\"http:\/\/Holstee.com\">Holstee<\/a>, a New York company which sells life style goods designed with a conscience.&nbsp; The video is based on their wildly popular <a href=\"http:\/\/shop.holstee.com\/pages\/about\">Manifesto<\/a>, which starts, &#8220;This is your life&#8221; and ends &#8220;Live your Dream, Share Your Passion&#8221;.&nbsp; The products they sell are often repurposed or reclaimed materials, their manifesto is about reclaiming your destiny.<\/p>\n<p>In my ten years in NYC I have witnesses a sea change on the streets, bikers have rallied and reclaimed public spaces.&nbsp; This is a new century, that will be defined by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ted.com\/talks\/geoffrey_west_the_surprising_math_of_cities_and_corporations.html\">cities<\/a>, and the automobile paradigm will no longer be adequate.&nbsp; The machines that once represented freedom have become steel prisons for one, that choke the roadways like fat in an artery.&nbsp; We need to be agile and change directions quickly.<\/p>\n<p>Life(cycle) is about reclaiming the city and our destiny.&nbsp; We are still in preproduction and we need your help!
